Technical Services Team Lead

Would you like to join our Technical Services Team? We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Services Team Lead at our BAE Site in Oman – Adam Airbase.

As a Technical Services Team Lead, you will provide effective team leadership for the development and delivery of all Technical Services activities (work instructions), whilst maximising operational efficiency and minimising costs.

Through the effective utilisation of subject matter knowledge and experience, able to lead and manage several teams of skilled and knowledgeable personnel, to deliver fit for purpose Technical Services at strategic and tactical levels.

This role will provide you with opportunity transition skill set, working on an operational airbase for the Omani Government.

Your main responsibilities as a Technical Services Team Lead will involve:

Ability to effectively management of Technical Services activities by setting delivery targets, monitoring progress, and developing performance improvement programmes.

Ensure all Technical Services activities are appropriately documented, and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based).

Manage the Technical Services team(s) compliance with the CAME, its associated procedures and standards, and any other Company procedures and standards, as applicable.

Promote the application of Human Factors, Error Management, Risk Management and Safety Assurance within the Technical Services team(s), together with the proactive analysis, mitigation and management of Hazards.

Ensure Technical Services team(s) activities are compliant with the AM&S Governance and Assurance framework and all other requirements, e.g., ITAR, EaPW, ISO. This would be achieved through support to contract reviews.

Your skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum HNC in a relevant Technical discipline, or Part 66 Category C qualified, or suitable equivalent
  • Recent extensive experience within a Maintenance & Support environment, including significant direct experience of supporting or maintaining fleets of aircraft, including technical management, planning, and scheduling
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Reliability Programmes and the impact of their findings on the Operator Maintenance Programme
  • Provide direction, advice, and support to the Technical Services teams on technical matters, addressing both individual aircraft and fleet-wide issues
  • Recent proven experience as a Team Leader in a related discipline, such as Reliability Programme management or Maintenance Programme development
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and project management skills/experience, with Lean management principles

You will be effective, highly credible communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will have cultural awareness and understanding (country and customer), be able to build strong relationships with Customers, Part 145 Organisation(s), OEMs, Suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
