Maintenance Support Engineer
Would you like to join our Maintenance Support? We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Support Engineer at our BAE Site in Oman – Adam Airbase.
As a Maintenance Support Engineer, you will design, develop and delivery of maintenance - on and off aircraft. Understanding the regulatory framework, build relationship with customers and suppliers. Ensure smooth running and that they have operational knowledge and fleet performance understanding.
This role will provide you with opportunity to develop analytical skills, transfer your knowledge with customers, peers within the middle east, working with Junior and Senior stakeholders, working on an operational airbase
Your main responsibilities as a Maintenance Support Engineer will involve:
Effective provision of Maintenance Support activities by meeting delivery targets and reporting any impact on Continuing Airworthiness. Understand how individual actions contribute to overall delivery performance.
Ensure all Maintenance Support activities are appropriately documented, and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based). Compile required reporting, identify any issues and escalate as appropriate.
Comply with Maintenance Support associated procedures and standards and any other Company procedures and standards, as applicable. Identify and propose changes, as required.
Ensure Human Factors and Error Management philosophies are applied to all Maintenance Support activities. Understand the risks associated with Maintenance Support and how they are mitigated and managed.
Ensure Maintenance Support activities are compliant with the AM&S Governance and Assurance framework, including supporting Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits.
Support the implementation of any Regulatory-driven changes into the Maintenance Support activities. Ensure compliance with all other requirements, e.g., ITAR, EaPW, ISO, etc.
Ensure compliance with applicable contractual requirements, e.g., through support to contract reviews and the incorporation of required changes into Maintenance Support processes.
Your skills and qualifications:
- Minimum of a recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in a relevant Technical discipline, or Part 66 Category A qualified, or suitable equivalent
- Understands the Regulatory Framework and its applicability to the Maintenance Support processes and activities
- Have operational knowledge and understanding of the platform contract(s), the fleet’s performance, and the business key performance metrics
- Demonstrate an understanding of Reliability Programmes and the impact of their findings on the Operator Maintenance Programme
- Demonstrate an understanding of Fleet Planning, Maintenance Tasking & Verification and Demand Management
- Able to analyse and interpret data with a high level of attention to detail
- Understanding of Project Management techniques
